The Evo laser gets our vote all over the place. 

While it does not have the sleek design like Honeywell's MS-9540 or 1200g, that's actually the point.  This hand held gun style has far less returns and warranty issues because it is made to be held, picked up and dropped all times of the day.  The counter stand sleek types are meant to sit in their stand and have items placed under them.  The more you need to pull out your scanner to scan a box that won't fit under the scanner on the counter, the more sense this model makes.
